Administration Assistant/OH&S Compliance Officer

Our Client, A highly experienced industrial insulation and sheet metal engineering provider trusted for its technical expertise and ability to deliver complex projects in tight timeframes is seeking to appoint an Administration Assistant/ OH&S Compliance Officer.

For over thirty years, the company has been engaged in extensive insulation and sheetmetal work involving the supply, fabrication and site erection of insulation and sheetmetal predominately for the Power generation industry, as well as the oil & gas, food processing, and paper industries.

This position will be a Part Time Role, working between and 3-5 Days per week, 6-7hrs per day. Exact hours are flexible to suit the successful applicant.  Hrs can be anywhere between 08:00 – 15:30 Mon to Friday. 

Duties will include

Administrative:

  • Administrative assistance to managers
  • Assisting in processing of Payroll
  • Assistance in Managing Accounts Receivable including some Invoicing
  • Management of Accounts Payable
  • Reception Duties
  • Management of incoming and outgoing documentation
  • Purchase Order Management including raising PO’s, following up and receipting of goods.
  • Other Data entry and file development
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Familiarity with large Tender processes as well as Accounting software XERO would be an advantage

 

OH&S Compliance:

  • Oversee, maintain and Implement certified OHS management systems – AS/NZS 4801:2001
  • Oversee, maintain and Implement certified Quality Management System – ISO 9001:2015
  • Manage the administrative functions for our Safety Management System, including monitoring and ensuring that all observations, incidents, and injuries are reported and investigated in accordance with the system.
  • This role will involve some site checks and/or investigations.

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Cert IV in WHS is desirable however willingness to undertake this training would be acceptable
  • Experience using Xero or similar accounts package
  • High level organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to use initiative and problem solving skills
